MobileCRM is a solution to manage SugarCRM on your iPhone.
You can view, edit, add and delete records offline and then synchronize with your server. MobileCRM is highly
customizable. You can configure the list view, detail view and edit view just as you do with your SugarCRM. MobileCRM loads metadata in each SugarCRM module to the iPhone when it first runs, so it can adapt with your
custom fields and your customized detail view and edit view. Since MobileCRM has its own metadata of fields in each
module, it provides you an easy-to-use edit view that you can select record from another module, select value from
a drop down ... to fill in your record.
You will find that working with MobileCRM on your iPhone is as convenient as working with SugarCRM.
Requirements - SugarCRM 5.5.0, 5.5.1 or 5.5.2
- iPhone OS 3.x, 4.x - A 3G or WiFi network connection on your iPhone when you download and synchronize data
- Additional web service installed on your SugarCRM server
Additional web service installation guide
To install the new web service, after downloading the file, extract it to the 'service' folder of your SugarCRM.
The default name of the new service is v2_1, you can change it to avoid name confliction but you should remember its
name to configure the application correctly.
The web service addition is extended from the existing SugarCRM web service and it is strictly followed the
Developer Guide documented at SugarForge.
When you first run the application, it will check to see if the additonal web service is installed. As the new web
service is installed, you can now start the application and enter the url of the soap.php file in the new web service
folder into the SOAP URL field. If you have not changed the name v2_1, this url should be
http://yourcrm.com/service/v2_1/soap.php.
